The incident was triggered by increased traffic targeting multiple customer machines within the site, exhibiting characteristics of a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. This led to an initial impact on the site's infrastructure.
Our Network Engineering team took action to adjust and mitigate the traffic, successfully restoring stability to the overall infrastructure. Concurrently, the team captured network traffic data and escalated the incident to our Cybersecurity team for further investigation and analysis of the attack.
While the attack subsided during the mitigation efforts, our teams remain actively engaged in identifying the attack signature to develop and implement necessary countermeasures.
